Oh Me Oh My, a Miks Chai Masala Chai, like all our products, has a backstory to match its delicious, rich taste. The real deal, this Masala Chai blend has been bonding Miks' family together for generations; helping them share stories of hope and resilience from oceans across the world.

But like all good secrets, Oh Me Oh My Chai is a secret best kept shared: its authentic, nutritious and connection building essence ready to change the world for the better.

We believe that a cuppa is a powerful way for a community to connect, share stories, and build resilience and strength. Oh Me Oh My is dedicated to the LGBTIQA+ community - who, despite discrimination and more often than not outright suppression, built lasting communities, friendships and partnerships to bring inclusion and equality in so many communities around the world (we know there’s still a long way to go). Who knows how many conversations, plans, and warm embraces were had over a cup of tea as fights for equality and inclusion occurred.

Miks, firsthand, experienced the life changing power of sharing her story as a queer woman of colour over many cuppa to her friends and family, building support and understanding.

Core to our mission is mental health, and the mental health support that the LGBTIQA+ community deserves is profound. In Australia, 1 in 5 people will experience mental illness in their lifetime. However, for people who identify as LGBTIQA+, that number is more than double. This is caused by the experiences of stigma, prejudice, discrimination and bias on the basis of being LGBTIQA+.

We know the power a conversation breaking down stigma, prejudice, discrimination and bias  can have. The power of Oh Me Oh My is being that placeholder, being that chai that YOU have THAT conversation over. Together, let’s build inclusion, let’s share our stories.

Oh Me Oh My aims to further this inclusion by donating 50% of its profits from every packet sold to EthnicPlus Inc

With 30 cups of conversation per packet, there’s plenty to share a story over. Why not grab a packet this Xmas and share a story. And here at Miks Chai we believe, stories save lives.
